About Gretchen Allen
Hi, I'm Gretchen Allen and live in Acworth, Ga near Lake Allatoona. I love to paint on location so most of these paintings were started on location and then finished in the studio. I enjoy doing most subjects, working with oils, acrylics, watercolors, and pen & inks. It's usually the light that attracts me to a scene or object. You can find some of the these paintings and prints at "Acworth Art Alliance", the "Downtown Gallery" in Cartersville, and at my home studio. If you enjoy painting outdoors, I started a Plein-Air Group called: North Georgia Plein-Air Artists that encourages artists of all levels to go out and sketch from life, and meet other artists,. I make up a calendar for the year with the places we go...
