It was a very breezy day when I painted this at Cauble Park, in Acworth, Ga. Beautiful time and the painting came along quickly. I was impressed that my cheap little easel didn't blow over.
Hi, I'm Gretchen Allen and live in Acworth, Ga near Lake Allatoona. I love to paint on location so most of these paintings were started on location and then finished in the studio. I enjoy doing most subjects, working with oils, acrylics, watercolors, and pen & inks. It's usually the light that attracts me to a scene or object. You can find some of the these paintings and prints at "Acworth Art Alliance", the "Downtown Gallery" in Cartersville, and at my home studio.
