I love the woods when they're wet, the colors see to glow. I stopped to paint this scene from my car at Red Top Mtn. Park and it started drizzling, so I was glad to be in my car, but it just made things prettier and I was so glad I went painting in spite of the grey day.

Hi, I'm Gretchen Allen and live in Acworth, Ga near Lake Allatoona. I love to paint on location so most of these paintings were started on location and then finished in the studio. I enjoy doing most subjects, working with oils, acrylics, watercolors, and pen & inks. It's usually the light that attracts me to a scene or object.
